THE STRUCTURAL MAPPING OF ORGANIZATIONAL AGILITY AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION LITERATURE: A BIBLIOMETRIC APPROACH

This study adopts a bibliometric approach to analyze the academic development of the concepts of organizational agility and digital transformation. A total of 99 articles obtained from the Web of Science database, published between 2011 and 2025, were examined based on publication year, citation count, keyword networks, authorship, institutions, and countries. The findings reveal a significant increase in academic interest in these two concepts, particularly after 2020. The frequent use of key terms such as “dynamic capabilities,” “information technology,” “organizational agility,” and “innovation” indicates that digital transformation is not only a technological shift but also a managerial one. The publications are concentrated primarily in journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. China, Italy, Indonesia, and the United States stand out as the countries contributing most to the literature, while Arias-Perez, Malik, and Raziq are among the most productive authors. The results demonstrate that organizational agility emerges as a critical competence within digital transformation processes and that these topics are studied through interdisciplinary perspectives. This study aims to provide a comprehensive mapping of current trends and to offer a foundational basis for future research.
